Ensure you’re planning for every meeting includes the perspective of the participants. What are their needs and wants? We talk about differentiation for students, so why not adults?
If you have the word Leader in your job title or part of your job description then it’s inherent in the role that you take responsibility for the professional development of your team members. To define what learning is, beyond the idea of something participants can sit and listen to and take back to their classroom. Learning can include broadening of perspective and reflecting on the team’s progress to achieve its goals. Put learning at the center of your meetings?
Plan your meetings like you would plan your classes. That extra time to detail will be overwhelmingly appreciated. If your concern is time, then consider delegating meeting management to other team members and sharing the load. That is what teams are for, load sharing; working interdependently to achieve a shared purpose.
