Where Middle Leaders Thrive: Seeding the Culture

To ensure cultural fit it's not just about the asking the right questions to ensure we're recruiting the right people. School leaders also need to understand individual team needs to ensure they match the right the middle leader for that team. School leaders also need to be constantly engaging with all teams and teachers to understand how the groups and individuals identify themselves within the school. This level of understanding will help leaders to know challenges they might be facing or opportunities they want to pursue. A senior leader's job in this respect is to constantly be keeping two fingers on the pulse of the school culture.
